Kai: “‘Ali Baba and the 40 rollers’ was a fable to me when I first came to Cabo Verde in 1996. A rare, untold story; there was talk of the longest waves anyone had ever seen. A mystery it was, elusive but real. Only snapshot from an epic session a few years before served some level of confirmation that this spot was real and legit. To be honest, I became immediately obsessed with it, and nothing has changed.
