My top tips for any trip to Fuerteventura would be:
Flights – EasyJet are gold, they take up to 32kg of kit which is plenty for a trip to Fuerte’. If direct flights are expensive, check Lanzarote flights as they can be half the price and only a 100 euro ferry ride from Fuerte’.
Car hire – All inclusive insurance is a must for the north shore track; www.autoreisen.com or www.cabreramedina.com are good companies.
Kit – A popular quiver for north shore sailing is a 90 litre wave board and 4.7, 5.3 and 5.6 sails.
Accommodation – Airbnb is pretty good for Fuerte’ or Booking.com. To be honest most of the accommodation in Fuerte’ is a good standard, I prefer to be based near Lajares as it is close to the breaks but anything in Corralejo is usually fine.
